Sun

Our extraordinary sun not only provides us with light and heat, it also warms our soul. Without the Sun, there wouldn't be life on earth. And yet, the Sun is an ordinary star, one of the billions of stars in our galaxy which in turn is one of the billions of galaxies in the cosmos. Its uniqueness lies with its close distance to us, for our next closest star is 300,000 times further away.
