The 36th COSPAR Scientific Assembly is
holding at the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Beijing Friendship
Hotel from 16 ¨C 23 July 2006. There are about 2,000 delegates come from more
than 50 countries attend the COSPAR. As a worldwide platform for the exchange of
space science, COSPAR Scientific Assembly is held every two years which based on
developing and promoting space science communication, it is the most influential
international academic conferences in the space science research areas. Six
aerospace scientists of
China
were elected as the
international IAA academicians. International IAA academicians are elected out
in the worldwide mainly in the field of national space systems, the contribution
of prominent scientists. Now there are 1264 international IAA academicians,
including 78 Chinese scientists.
In July 20, 2006, there are 11 delegates
of COSPA visited Beijing Planetarium. They are science educators come from
American universities, some of them cooperation with NASA. They watched the
films of 3D theater and 4D theater, and felt very exciting, they also were
interested in the new exhibition. They said it was a nice trip to Beijing
Planetarium.
